bau truong, cabramatta

On the day we picked out to do our volunteering activities, it rains. We were already half way through lunch at Bau Truong when we got the call that it was cancelled.

bau truong:
The place has a pretty modern look to it compared to the other eateries in the area.

combination crispy egg noodles ($14.00):
Crispy pan-fried egg noodles drizzled with vegetables and beef in sauce. There were carrots, fish balls, beef slices, onions and mushrooms. The noodles were very crispy and still somewhat crispy in the sauce. I think it was the best dish of the day.

sizzling sate beef ($20.00):
Beef with assorted vegetables on a sizzling hot plate. This was pretty plain (dish wise). I wanted to order the combination broken rice! But I imagine it would have been hard to share between 3 people since you have to cut up the pork chop, divide the egg etc. Too much work.

crispy chicken with sesame sauce ($20.00):

Crispy chicken with sesame sauce. They ran out of sesame sauce so I think they gave us fish sauce. Should have picked tomato rice instead. The chicken wasn't that great. Go to Tan Viet if you want to feast on crispy chicken.

The lady kept giving us disapproving looks because we spilt the tea everywhere. I hope I never see her ever again. It's a little pricey for Cabramatta but the servings were quite large so it balanced out I guess.

Hi there! My name is Anna. I'm eighteen, in my second year of uni and born in Sydney. This blog is about my gastronomic adventures in Australia and abroad. It all started when my brother bought me a new camera in 2011 (Samsung Ex1). Since then, I've been into taking photos and I realised most of my photos were of food so I decided to document everything on this blog.

I'm still learning to take nice pictures. My camera isn't exactly the greatest but it works.

I'm not particularly picky about the food and I do like trying new things but I generally try to avoid anything with chocolate, bitter melon or eggplant. They don't taste too great.

Anyway, enough about me - thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the blog!
